So many events in the Bible have been translated to make God seem to be a hard taskmaster: quick to judge and punish, but slow to forgive and restore. This is just not true! The truth is God is slow to anger! Ps. 145:8-9 says it best, The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. 9 The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.
