204: Dailies: What They Are and How to Incorporate Them

Listen Later

How do you start your day out? Do you roll out of bed and let life dictate your plans, or do you do things every day that set your intentions, your mind and your spirit up for whatever success means to you? Today Neil and I are sharing how we go about our daily routines, or dailies as we call them, why they're so important, how to get started with them, and what you'll get out of making dailies a priority.

Time Stamps:

[00:28] - Neil describes what his mornings looked like before he added structure to his days.

[03:21] - What was Neil’s first introduction to dallies?

[05:52] - Starting dailies reduces the feeling of being a frantic responder. You feel calmer facing the day.

[07:51] - Are you seeing things with an eternal viewpoint?

[10:43] - Be sincere and willing when a prompt comes to you.

[13:02] - Corrine talks about how prompting can be completely different from what you expect or are looking for?

[15:06] - Dailies provide a spiritual foundation for day to day life.

[17:58] - You can have an improvised version of dailies. They come in handy when life is unpredictable.

[20:28] - Corrine shares her hack for checking if she is spiritually plugged into her day.

[23:00] - Take inventory of each day.

[25:53] - You can use a habit, routine, or ritual to replace habits you want to step away from.

[28:28] - “It’s based off of actions.”

[30:25] - Corrine shares the three-step-loop that builds habits.

[32:20] - Neil talks about being honest with God during dailies to have a better start to the day.

[35:35] - What works for one person doesn’t work for another person. Find what works for you.

[37:48] - Spiritual actions become course correction for your day.

[40:02] - Feel empowered to change things in your life. You are in charge of your life and routine.
