Denise Brady is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. She has been practicing therapy since 2009 and her passion is working with marginalized communities. She started her career in South Los Angeles working with chronically mentally ill populations.
Currently, Denise uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy to assist her clients in reprocessing traumatic experiences and memories. With EMDR therapy, she can provide her clients with long term healing not always offered with traditional talk therapy.
She currently runs a thriving private practice in Long Beach, CA where she helps people overcome generational trauma. Her work drives her to instill in people they can heal and live a life outside of the things they've been through.
In this episode, Denise talks about her experience in the mental health field. We also discuss EMDR therapy, recognizing parental wounds, breaking generational patterns, and more.
