I've personally read his book 31 Days to Build A Better Blog - a downloadable e-book designed to be followed every day for 31 days and it helped me a lot when I started in late 2009. 

Darren Rowse is an author, blogger and a speaker. He is known as the founder of ProBlogger.

He started blogging as a hobby, when he started the Digital Photography Blog and soon discovered AdSense and the Amazon Affiliate program to start making money from blogging.

Slowly it began to generate income and before he knew it, blogging was in fact his fully fledged business.

Today his blogs are read by over 4.5 million unique visitors a month! Combined they have over 300,000 forum members and 1,000,000 subscribers.

How did he do it? Darren's sage advice is to provide valuable content and to be consistent.
