The Red Raiders fall at home to no. 7 Oklahoma Sooners 51-46. Alan Bowman sustains a reinjury to his partially collapsed lung in the fist half and Duffey is unable to lead the team to a victory. You fall to 5-4 (3-3) on the season with the Longhorns coming to Lubbock next weekend.

The restaurant serving Lubbock's best fried cheese closed this weekend, but it wasn't because we weren't patrons. Also, for those lost in the football season, the basketball season tips off this week with a charity exhibition game, and the baseball team starts their annual Red-Black series as well.

Michael is completely dominated in fantasy this week, but somehow still leads the season point totals.

We're joined for the Sooner preview portion of the episode by Jay from @RedDirtSport.

If you're looking at the stat comparisons for this game, we tell you why those might be misleading.

We answer every single one of your questions, the main reason our show was long this week.

We wrap up the episode by hearing Michael lament about Hulu not letting him fast forward through a sporting event that is no longer live. He also rejoiced in what he's hoping was his last mowing of the season. He also tells us of yet another example of Christmas invading other holiday's time.

Fair warning: the language in the first few minutes of the episode is not suitable for children. I'm sorry, it gets better, but it was about as explicit as it gets for the first few minutes.

I'm not sure where you go from here, besides talk some solace in that when your defense wasn't called for mind-numbingly stupid drive-sustaining penalties, they were pretty good today. Special teams was pretty good outside of DeQuan Bowman letting a kickoff bounce.

Bowman wasn't accurate. Your offensive line couldn't pass protect or run block. I'm not even sure Kevin Johns made the trip to Ames. You barely averaged more than a yard per carry. Your QB couldn't hit wide open receivers. Your open receivers couldn't make the routine catches when the ball got to them. The officials were what they were.

Spencer challenges the listeners to download this week's episodes a total of 1,500 times or more in order to make him shave his beard. Michael made his broadcast radio debut this week on the Rob Breaux show and plugged STP and the podcast very well. Rob's show may even ask him to come back on the show.

Michael torches Spencer in fantasy again this week behind a strong performance by KaVontae Turpin, who was just removed from the TCU football team for some really despicable actions, if they turn out to be true.

We are not joined by an Iowa State expert to preview the Cyclones, but we do have stats and we dive deep into the stats to justify our stances on how this game will play out this week. Interestingly, the line for this game continues to move and at the time of recording, had moved all the way down to ISU -3.5.

We answer your questions and Spencer revels in the lawn domination he is enjoying.

We break down the Red Raiders victory over the Kansas Jayhawks 48-16. With the win, Texas Tech moves to 5-2 on the season and 3-1 in Big 12 conference play.

Alan Bowman makes his first start since leaving the game versus West Virginia and has himself a day. It was good to see him knock some rust off before heading up to Ames to face the Cyclones next week.

The Red Raider defense continues to impress, despite giving up two second half touchdowns. The Jayhawks were held to 3 first half points and the final touchdown came with 11 seconds before the final whistle.

We read and respond to all of your questions and reactions you sent in after the game.

With this cold weather in Lubbock, we both made pots of chili and swap recipes for the good stuff.

Ohio State defensive end Nick Bosa announced on Tuesday that he would forego the rest of this season to prepare for the NFL draft. This is probably the earliest we've seen a player do this in season and Michael and Spencer have very different takes on this.

We start looking at the game this week versus Kansas and why this might be a little more tricky to navigate than in years past. We're joined on the KU preview by KU Director of Broadcasting and "Voice of the Jayhawks" Brian Hanni. Red Raider fans should be familiar with Hanni after he spent 4 years in Lubbock covering Texas Tech and being the play-by-play voice for the men's hoops and baseball teams.

We wrap up with your questions about possible expansion targets, how we liked our chicken wings cooked, the stat that best indicates defensive improvement for Texas Tech, and what % we think Bowman plays this weekend.

We break down the big win for the Red Raiders moments after the final whistle, as well as read and react to all of your reactions and questions. Unbelievable win for Tech as they leaned on the run game and defense to take down the Horned Frogs on the road 17-14.

Quick turnaround this week as the game is on Thursday night. We cover things from tossing tortillas, to the new chairman of the Board of Regents, to if Alan Bowman can fly with the team.

We also preview the TCU Horned Frogs. It appears both teams are down to backup QBs (or third stringers in Tech's case), but the situation isn't as dire as that might sound. We're picking a close, low-scoring game where turnovers may play a huge role in the outcome.

Also, our fences are swollen shut after all the rain this past week.

As we navigate Texas Tech's bye week, we concern ourselves with why Michael ditched me for the post game recording this past weekend, QB injuries, updating our win-loss predictions for this season, and of course your many great questions.

Today was rough. Watching this game was draining, and not because you got blown out, but because you were just so bad in the first half and nearly made the miraculous comeback in the second; because you lost another starting QB; because you started off slow again; and because people are calling for Kingsbury to be fired and we defend him today.

We hope things are OK with Alan Bowman, but everything I've heard (from extremely credible media sources) points elsewhere.

We've got about 10 days until the next game and plenty of things to work and focus on to get ready for the trip to Ft Worth. Let's get right, get healthy, cut out the drops, the slow starts, and get this thing rolling.
