 Mike Wallingford Jr. is a Captain with Jeffersontown Fire and EMS currently assigned to a HazMat Engine. He is also the Safety Director for Flynn Brothers Construction which is a large Construction and Paving company in Louisville, KY. Working in these two industries has helped Mike identify the need for further education in the fire service of the preplanning needs that construction sites pose.

Kiel Samsing is a Lieutenant with the Newport News Fire Department on Engine 2 in the East End and a part time firefighter for the West Point Volunteer Fire Department. Kiel has been an instructor at Andy Fredericks Training Days, Art of Firemanship, and the Firemanship Conference Portland. He has been an FDIC H.O.T. lead instructor and classroom instructor. He specializes in engine work and decision making using the OODA Loop.

Part 2 David is a 37-year fire service veteran retired from the Atlanta, Georgia Fire Department. He currently works for Clarion Events as the Content Strategist on the editorial team for the Fire and Rescue Group that manages Fire Engineering and Fire Apparatus and Equipment magazines and the (FDIC).  He is a Chief Elder for the Georgia Smoke Diver Program, a member of the (FDIC) Executive Advisory Board, a Hands-on-Training Coordinator for the FDIC conference, and author for Fire Engineering Magazine, and Fire Apparatus and Equipment Magazine, authored the Hump Day SOS column for Fire Rescue, an adjunct instructor for the Georgia Fire Academy, and Advisory Board Member Emeritus for Underwriters Laboratory Firefighter Safety Research Institute and a Board Member of the Firefighter Air Coalition. He served as an Incident Commander for the Georgia Emergency Management Agency – Type III All Hazards Incident Management Team was a Task Force Leader for the Georgia Search and Rescue Team. He is president of Rhodes Consultants, Inc. which provides public safety training, consulting, and promotional assessment centers.

 Husband to Bethany, his supportive fire wife and father to Kelsey, my smart, beautiful 17 daughter. 14 yr Firefighter /Paramedic rank with the historical Weatherford TX Fire Department (1876). Assigned to Truck 1 Squad 1. Served with several fire departments as volunteer, part time and career. It took 6 years to get on to a career Department. Failed Paramedic school 3 times before passing and tested for Weatherford for 10 years before finally getting hired. Former Instructor at The Weatherford College Regional Fire Academy and current President of the Frontier F.O.O.L.S. TX chapter. I can never give back enough to the Fire Service what it has given to me. I love Firefighters and absolutely love learning from and teaching fundamental Firemanship. He was awarded the FOOLS International Dana Hannon award for 2022. This award is given in honor of Dana Hannon. Dana Hannon was a F.O.O.L.S. member, FDIC HOT class instructor, and member of the FDNY. Dana was killed on September 11, 2001. This award is given to a F.O.O.L.S. member who shows a true passion for training his Brother and Sister firefighters. Through training we can ensure that our Brothers and Sisters will have the knowledge and skills that will protect them on the job.
