5 years ago I had a conversation with my lead university lecturer. I was 18, studying business and entrepreneurship at a university in south west England.
“Raphael..” I asked, opening up a sentence to convey a serious doubt about my decision to go to university…
“Yeah, what’s up Charlie?” Raphael asked.
We were in the building of the faculty of business, surrounded by students typing away busily at keyboards, working on answers for tests they’d soon forget.
“So, um, this course.. When do we.. um, learn… how to sell?”
I’d read a book by a 9 figure entrepreneur saying sales was the most important skill an entrepreneur can learn, so I figured the course MUST cover it.
His response shocked me.
“Oh.. that’s a good one, um… well, to be honest, the course doesn’t teach sales. None of the lecturers at the faculty have really sold before so teaching a course on sales wouldn’t really work right?”
I dropped out the next day, and didn’t look back.
Back then, I was dead broke, and fucking desperate. I had no skills, next to no clients, no experience and nothing going for me.
Fast forward 5 years and I’m making north of $100k/mo with my 12 month old coaching company, Imperium Agency, and clocking a similar 7 figure runrate for my agency, Northflow Consulting.
What the happened in these 5 years?
Work.
Work happened.
In today’s video, I break down my entire story of going from dead broke dropout to twice-over 7 figure entrepreneur. It’s not a very pretty story, and I can promise you ‘talent’ had nothing to do with it.
Just pure, disgustingly long hours of work.
