Who determines the truth? Despite resistance from physicians fearing government overreach, California’s Medical Misinformation Bill AB-2098 was passed in the state senate and enrolled on September 1, 2022. This bill now sits on the desk of Governor Newsom for veto or signature into law. If signed into law, discussing the risk vs. reward of Covid treatments with patients could be labeled “misinformation” and put physicians at risk of losing their medical license.
