Cadey and I just got back from California. We were at Taki Moore's event surrounded by over 100 coaches from around the world. It was incredible. I wanted to record this podcast to share with you my takeaways and the biggest insight I received about growing and scaling a business under $10 million. 

 

After attending the event and reflecting on the conversations I had, there was a common principle I saw. It's that simplicity scales naturally, and complexity creates constraint. Out of all the people in the room, the simplest businesses were the ones growing the fastest. How crazy is it that the simplest business plans were the biggest ones in the room? But when you think about it, it makes sense. People who have one promotion, one product, one sales process, one pretty much anything always grows. The more clear they are, the more success they have. Because people know what the offer and they become the go-to person for that product or service.  

 

In the beginning, entrepreneurs without experience feel like they have to do a bunch of things to be successful. I've been there, and it's a painful process. The sad part is no matter how much work you put in, you're not going to scale the business because there is too much going on. Running multiple things at once will hold you back more than anything you're doing. So instead, simplify as fast as you can because success creates deficits and growth creates complexity. My question to you is, are you creating simplicity that scales naturally, or are you climbing up a hill because you made it harder? Think about it. Now go simplify your business, cut hard, and you will grow fast!
