The market is up a little more than 15% to date, for a very healthy start to the year. Friday's action, not surprisingly, was a little sloppy for the end of the quarter. Today is the first day of the second half of the year. Typically, a positive first half of the year is followed by a positive second half. But that doesn't mean the market keeps going higher indefinitely. We were here at this time last year, after which we got that 10% correction in July/August. So just because the year ends on a positive note does not mean you cannot have a correction during the interim. August, September, and October tend to be weaker in election years.
