In this week’s episode Eoin chats with Brian Gardner ([email protected]).

Brian is from the US and has lived with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 12. He has a vast amount of knowledge and experience around his condition and offers great advice for any Diabetic out there.

Brian went on three separate tours to work and live in the South Pole where temperatures would reach -50C! He outlines how he managed his Diabetes while he was there, despite the cold, change of food, change in routine and ‘lack of blood’ in his fingertips.

Brian’s wife is also living with Type 1 Diabetes and he shares how they met and what it’s been like to learn so much from each other over the years.
