I love the holidays but every year since having my daughter the season seems to whiz by and within it a flurry of expectations, obligations, blessings and a waylay of emotions to boot. Do you feel the same?

Regular daily life seems to be on hold as we working mommas wield our Octopus arms to juggle all the balls in the air! But some times balls drop due to events that were completely unexpected. 

I faced a week like this and the only thing that was able to help right my heart was hanging on tight to God's hopes and promises through his infallible Word. Revisiting one of my favorite daily devotional books helped lift my Spirit and keep me grounded, you know, after the "cookie conundrum" of 2024.
