Holly wasn’t looking for a boyfriend the evening she met Phil. Soon after they met, she felt they might have a future together.

Well, they did have a future. A horrific one.

Sometimes abuse survivors display levels of loyalty that go beyond our imagination. This is one of those stories. We find ourselves pulling for Holly to stop the madness and break away from Phil. She goes quite far beyond that. She wanted this relationship to work, and Phil wanted to hang onto her and take her down with him.
