"The Brutalist" had its world premiere at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, where it received enthusiastic reviews for its direction from Brady Corbet (which won him the Silver Lion for Best Director), the tremendous performances from its cast consisting of Adrien Brody, Guy Pearce, and Felicity Jones, and the film's monumental scope on such a small budget. The Next Best Picture team was lucky enough to speak with many cast and crew members over the last several weeks, and we're happy to share this with you as the film is now playing in limited release and expanding to more theaters this January. First up, we have Matt Neglia's interview with director/co-writer Brady Corbet, followed by Giovanni Lago's interview with Adrien Brody, Dan Bayer's interview with Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones, Brendan Hodges's interview with Cinematographer Lol Crawley, Will Mavity's interview with production designer Judy Becker, Giovanni Lago's interview with editor Dávid Jancsó, and then we end with Daniel Howat's interview with composer Daniel Blumberg. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now playing in theaters from A24 and is up for your consideration at this year's Academy Awards in all eligible categories. Thank you, and enjoy!
