This week we dive deep into Binge Eating with ADHD and it's impact on our lives . Over eating is something we struggle with on a daily basis and we feel its good to talk about this, add some humour (as always) and to raise awareness about how having ADHD can increase Binging Eating.
Binge Eating is a persistent pattern of disordered eating behaviour that can have significant negative effects on a person's physical and mental health, relationships, and daily functioning.
Studies have suggested that individuals with ADHD may be at an increased risk for developing BED so In this episode we discuss our personal binge eating stories, general reflections and give you our top tips on how we try to manage bingeing so it doesn't take too much a hold our lives.
This episode may be triggering for you as it's quite sensitive so please feel free to skip this episode.

This week we're talking more about Shell's favourite topic! Medication!!!!
We dive deep into Shell restarting Concerta, how it made her feel, what positive effects she had, what negative side effects she experienced and ultimately why she has decided to stop taking Concerta for good!
We also waffle on about the absolute drama that happened at a recent Seed talk we attended, and Sparky gives us an update on how his NHS ADHD referral and overall journey is going so far, which to be honest can only be be summed up so far in one word 'disastrous!'
Please keep in mind this is a personal medication review about Concerta and doesn't necessarily mean this is how the medication would make you feel. Everybody responds to all medications differently.
If you are experiencing any of the side effects Shell mentioned in this episode speak to your health care provider.

In this episode we discuss the use of Fluoxetine (Prozac) for ADHD and Anxiety as Sparky tells us all about starting the medication and what impact it had.
Fluoxetine (Prozac) is an SSRI Anti Depressant medication prescribed for depression and anxiety based disorders. There is some emerging studies showing evidence to suggest it can help with ADHD symptoms too (although it is very small)
Sparky discusses the positive effects of Fluoxetine, the side effects, how he felt whilst on the medication, if it helped with his ADHD symptoms and anxiety!
Shell starts another dose of Concerta and so clearly before you know it the conversation turns into rambling on how feel about IKEA!
and.... back to meds!
PROZAC, CONCERTA AND IKEA!

This week we have a VERY SPECIAL guest! We've been banging on about having guests on the podcast for ages and.... we finally did it.
Our guest this week is none other than Alex Conner co- founder of https://www.adhdadult.uk/ and one half of the ADHD Adults Podcast.
It was such an honor for us both to talk to Alex (Sparky when he had the chance because Shell was like a kid at Christmas) and also having him deal with our seriously unprofessional behaviour. It's a miracle it even happened to be honest, but we're both so grateful for his time and his personal reflections. We managed to quiz him on our ADHD nuances, Shells neurotic tendencies and discuss ADHD medication, is it safe? and discuss Alex's personal reflection on his experience with Vyvanse/ Elvanse. (Lisdexamfetamine) so far.
Thanks for listening to us ramble!
If your interested in attending the Seed talks mentioned, here's the link below. All three of us will be at the Birmingham one on the 18th Jan

🎄It’s Christmassssssssssssssss!!!🎄and that can only mean one thing... lots of festivities and amazing food!
However, the festive season can also be a stressful time of year for anyone so If your living with ADHD you may find it all overwhelming and challenging.
In this episode were both committing to 3 pledges each that we're going (to try) and stick to this Christmas and New Year so we can survive the holiday season.
Christmas is a time to celebrate and enjoy being with the people you love, so following through with these 6 pledges this Christmas is a sure fire way to make it more bearable and enjoyable. Hopefully some of these will help you too!
Merry Christmas to all our listeners and thank you so much for all of your support and giving us your time this year. We really appreciate it. Have a great one!

Everybody drifts off into a daydream from time to time, but for people with ADHD constant daydreaming can be a problem (and as usual it’s a big problem for us)
This week we're putting a name to it... and we're taking about Maladaptive Daydreaming, what it is and why we do it.
You don't have to have ADHD to experience Maladaptive Daydreaming, it can be because of various other reasons such as anxiety. We'll be sharing our and personal stories with day dreaming and highlighting awareness of it, because before we discovered this….we never really knew what it was. Until now, and we’re even day dreaming during episodes. Someone send help! 😅
We'd love to heat your stories, and any tips or advice you have for us - please contact us below!
Thanks for listening to us ramble!

It’s almost Christmasssssss!! And whilst we both absolutely love Christmas, for those of us who suffer with ADHD the festive period can be a highly stressful time. Christmas requires a lot of executive planning, and well…. we all know - we’re useless at that.
It’s not unusual for our anxiety levels to be heightened which leads to last minute shopping trips (can anyone say, Xmas Eve), taking on wayyy too much, leaving things till the very last minute and our emotional reactions which can normally be (sort of) managed, seem out of control.
In this episode we’ll be discussing our personal Christmas chaos stories and what we’re going to do this year to help manage our ADHD symptoms to be have a better more relaxed Christmas!

This week were discussing the ADHD medication Concerta.
It's Shell's first week on Concerta so Sparky takes to the mic to question Shell on how she’s been feeling since starring on the medication, all positives, the negatives and what the overall experience has been like so far on Concerta.
We also touch upon the differences between Concerta and Elvanse/ Vyvanse, whilst making a very surprising discovery about one of the medications.
