A very common fear among adults with type 1 is having a child diagnosed with T1D. My guest this week was diagnosed at age 7 and he says he held his breath each time one of his three children passed the milestone. But then, his youngest was diagnosed at age 8.
I'm talking to Brian Foster about that experience, what surprised him, how everyone's doing now and a lot more. He's also a CDCES and has a master's degree in exercise physiology. Brian is an Ironman triathlete who has completed more than 50 marathons and we get his advice about the endurance sports he loves.
