Tasmania Police says it could take several weeks before they are able to confirm if the human remains found in north west Tasmania, belong to missing Belgian tourist Celine Cremer.

A volunteer searcher found the remains yesterday, at Philosopher Falls, where Ms Cremer went missing in 2023.

Police have since found another five items in the same area, which have not yet been tested to confirm whether they 're human remains.
