Rebecca Henson interviews Michaela Putala in today’s episode. Michaela is a Registered Dietitian in Los Angeles, California. She’s been on both ends of the dieting spectrum; as a young dancer, she struggled with maintaining a healthy relationship with food and her body. Today, she uses the very tools she learned to overcome these struggles to guide lifelong dieters in their journeys to make peace with food and their bodies. Throughout her own journey, she discovered the lack of accessibility to support from professionals dedicated to repairing her food-body relationship. Inspired to turn the healthcare narrative away from dieting, she went on to earn her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of North Florida. Now, she works with clients to find “food freedom.”
“There are those people who like to take their time and they will watch and they will see everything you say. And at the end of the day, or when it's their time, they will reach out.” -Michaela Putala
