In today’s conversation, John Strickler, Nathalie’s partner, here to dive into non-violence and exploring the meaning of ahimsa.
For John, ahimsa means non-violence against yourself, others, animals, and the Earth.
The Earth is our home and should be respected and treated with reverence, not polluted and destroyed. If you see something out of place, something wrong, it is your responsibility to speak up and take action.
Learning self-love is a process, and there will be times where you honor yourself and times when you don’t. It is important to remember that we are all works in progress. Everyone has a dharma or purpose, and some have many. John believes we are born with our purpose but that it takes time and work to discover it.
Nathalie brings the conversation full circle back to self-love and the differences between how feminine and masculine perspective changes the experience of self-love.
To end the episode, John offers advice for grounding yourself and giving yourself grace, and the two discuss the new addition to their household.
In this episode we mentioned - Kamal Ravikant, who is the author of the bestselling books, Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends and Live Your Truth comes Rebirth.
