Red Sox prospect infielder Alex Binelas was traded to the Red Sox in the deal that sent Hunter Renfroe to the Brewers a few minutes before the league went into its lockout during this past offseason. Binelas split this season with the Greenville Drive and the Portland Sea Dogs and got his first taste of playing in the Red Sox farm system.

Binelas joined Massachusetts Pirates Team Insider Jake Ignaszewski to discuss how he's been enjoying his offseason thus far and what his experience was like during his first season with the Red Sox organization. Binelas shared a play-by-play of how he found out about the trade to the Red Sox and what his reaction was when he found out. Alex then went into his experiences with the Red Sox fanbase so far and what the biggest lessons were from this last season.

Binelas then went on to talk about his swing change mid-season and how he used the mental side of his game to help him get through that process. Lastly, Binelas answers fan questions from Twitter and gives a little sneak peek of what he uses to help his beard look good ;)
