(The Executive Council of Australian Jews (ECAJ) sincerely apologized to the victims of child sexual abuse in the Jewish community and their advocate Manny Waks, for not having done more to recognize their suffering and healing process and committed to do much more in the future. The Jewish Taskforce Against Family Violence stated that they will close down this month having fulfilled their mandate and believing that they have made an important contribution to this urgent issue within the Jewish community and in relevant organizations such as Jewish Care. A gold coin commemorating the victorious charge of the Australian Light Cavalry against the Ottoman forces at Beersheba, will be issued in October 2017, to mark the 100th anniversary of the event, which led to other victories in Palestine and eventual Balfour declaration favoring the creation of a Jewish State.  )
