This is the first of a two-part episode. Whislt the conflict between Israel and Gaza continues, there are still people working tirelessly to build peace in creative and unconventional ways. One of them is Rabbi Dr. Daniel Roth, Director of Mosaica's 'Religious Peace Initiative'. Founded by Rabbi Michael Melchior and the late Sheikh Abdullah Nimer Darwish, Mosaica's Religious Peace Initiative brings together rabbis, imams and other respected religious leaders to foster dialogue, mediate disputes and reduce tensions between communities. Rather than relying solely on political leaders, the initiative focuses on the influence of trusted local faith leaders to create pathways towards coexistence and reconciliation. In this interview, Rabbi Dr. Roth discusses how religious diplomacy is helping to bridge divides in Israel and the Palestinian territories, the challenges and successes of this unique model, and why he believes it could offer valuable lessons for resolving conflicts in other parts of the world.
