Several new Jewish candidates stood for seats in the federal elections on the 2nd July in Sydney and Melbourne, as well as the three seating MPs Josh Frydenberg, Mark Dreyfus and Michael Danby.Many candidates with a strong record of support for the Jewish community and Israel stood in this years elections with only several, mainly from the Greens presenting some worrying policies on Israel.The Melbourne Jewish community hosted this years Limmud Oz of more than 160 lectures, workshops and presentations with some 1,000 participants in this very successful event)
