In this edition of Locked on Capitala Dan talks about Alex Ovechkin's goal chase and how he doesn't really know to respond when he's asked in almost every interview when he thinks he's going to catch and then pass Wayne Gretzky. It will happen when it happens and Alex himself isn't even sure he'll be able to do it. He's had some health setbacks that could stand in his way. Ovechkin will be 38 later this month, age and injury is a concern. Later we talk about how Ovechkin is headed back to the US after spending a majority of the off-season in Russia. He said that he's prepared and ready to help the Capitals make another push for a Stanley Cup. In the final segment Dan talks about Carl Hagelin and how he announced his retirement 11 seasons in the NHL. Carl suffers a major eye injury in practice and was making progress towards a comeback but also suffers other issues with his hip that prevented him from making his return.
