Home décor expert and YouTube content creator Alexandra Gater connects with millions through her home makeover videos on YouTube, where she makes design accessible for renters and homeowners alike, no matter their budget. Today, Alexandra has over 500,000 subscribers on YouTube plus her own website where she provides virtual makeover packages, product collabs, and a collection of handmade Moroccan pom-pom slippers. But back before Alexandra found her career as a YouTube creator, she was working for a Canadian lifestyle magazine, Chatelaine, where she worked as an intern in the art department and eventually discovered her passion for home design. After spending over 10 years working together at Lululemon, Laura Low Ah Kee and Shannon Savage embarked on their own entrepreneurial journey when they launched their premium athletic swimwear line, Left on Friday. During their tenure at Lululemon, Laura and Shannon bonded over their love of the beach and frustration regarding the lack of high-performance, stylish swimsuits. They realized that with Laura’s merchandising knowledge and Shannon’s design eye, they were uniquely poised to disrupt the swimwear space, and in 2018, they did just that. Today, Left on Friday boasts a wide array of swimwear styles, a new brick-and-mortar store, and the opportunity to provide the uniforms for the Canadian National Women’s Beach Volleyball team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Sophie Grégoire Trudeau has spent over two decades advocating in the mental health space, and she's bringing her learnings to print in her new memoir Closer Together: Knowing Ourselves, Loving Each Other, published April 23. In the book, she shares personal anecdotes as well as interviews she's conducted with psychology professionals. Grégoire Trudeau's impact in the mental health space is far-reaching, but she spent her early career in entirely different industries. She worked first in advertising and later in television as an on-camera host. It was during those years that Grégoire Trudeau began volunteering at an eating disorder clinic and found her true calling in mental health work. She later became the de facto First Lady of Canada when her husband Justin Trudeau was appointed prime minister, and she went on to use her platform to advocate on behalf of a variety of mental health causes.
