Host Erika  Seamayer-Williamson catches up with Rachel Richie, a college student from Midlothian who survived a near fatal auto accident on January 1, 2020.

Rachel suffered 14 broken bones and a traumatic brain injury.  She also broke multiple bones in her face and she says, "luckily, a year later, you cannot even tell!"

Through months of painful rehabilitation Rachel has made a 100% recovery. She shares several humorous moments from being in the hospital. and how this tragedy has put her squarely on the path that God has for her life.

She explains the amazing support she received from family, friends and the entire Midlothian community...plus how her medical bills were strangely covered by unexpected sources.

Today, Rachel is thriving at UT-Tyler where she is studying neuro-psychology, is heavily involved in a campus ministry, and shares her testimony of God's amazing grace to anyone who will listen.

Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson invites her adult daughter Erika Laine
to share a traumatic event that took place when she was 21 years old and over 1,100 miles from home.

Erika Laine was attending Black Hills State University just 15 miles away from Sturgis, South Dakota where she graduated high school a couple of years prior.   Her mother,  Erika married her 5th grade boyfriend Erik Williamson and had moved back to Texas where they are originally from. 

It was Good Friday when Erika received the call that Erika Laine had actually had a Grand mal seizure at work and had been admitted to Spearfish Hospital. Can you even imaging the terror and emotions that would follow?  Especially since she had never had a seizure before.

In this episode they discuss what happened next, from flying back to Dallas for the best treatment in neurology at UT Southwestern, to walking through her 3 embolization surgeries and the 11 hour brain surgery.  The blessings that continued to roll in through friends, and simply miracles beyond any explanation other than it being a "God thing!" and how Erika Laine's strong belief in her heavenly father and her faith made it look as if it were a walk in the park rather than a dramatic experience.

Alopecia. Sounds like a beach resort town or a fancy Italian dish. But as host Erika Seamayer-Williamson learns in this episode, alopecia is neither. Rather, it's a medical condition that occurs when the immune system attacks hair follicles, and may be brought on by severe stress.

Imagine you're 15, captain of your high school drill team, with a beautiful head full of blonde wavy hair...and one day you discover you have alopecia. You're entire teenage world would be turned upside down.

That's what happened to Ginny Baker, the featured guest on this episode of Amazing Grace Talk. Her discussion with Erika traces Ginny's life's journey through many doctor visits, medical treatments, self-image issues, public perceptions, wigs, hats, and how she handled hair returning then falling off again....numerous times throughout the last 15-20 years.

With her loving mom by her side they did in fact find a treatment that worked and also found a makeup artist who was able to tattoo her eyebrows and eyeliner for her so that she could feel "normal" again and make getting ready in the morning easier and less stressful.

Ginny has embraced this condition with grace and even humor. One of Ginny's favorite Bible verses is Luke 12:7 "Even the hairs of your head are all numbered.  Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows."

This episode will inspire listeners to never judge yourself or judge others by outward appearances....and to see the good that is often wrapped up in times of unexplainable trials.

Jen is a Supervising Certified CARE Instructor and Certified Raindrop Technique Specialist through the Center for Aromatherapy Research and Education (CARE).  She has a biology/chemistry educational background and have known she was called to healing since she was 12. With aspirations to be a doctor, she pursued a pre-med degree at Texas A&M. The Lord shut the door on that endeavor when she met her husband (now of 23 years), and have enjoyed many years of being a mom and homeschooler to 4 daughters, now ages 20, 18, 16, & 14.
She was introduced to essential oils about 7 years ago, and has spent countless hours learning about natural healing through oils and a toxic-free lifestyle. Jen has developed a passion for helping others find improved wellness through these natural gifts. This is not the path Jen pictured back when she was 12, but has learned so much about healing through a whole-person approach that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.

Jen studied and practiced Raindrop Technique for almost 5 years.  She is continually astounded and humbled by the physical and emotional miracles that take place on my table. Jen is living her passion every moment that she is either ministering to someone through this technique or educating others to do the same.

Tracy Doyle's addiction to alcohol almost destroyed her life. But she overcame its crippling power by the grace of God....and her gut-wrenching story is topic of this episode as host Erika Seamayer-Williamson sits down with Tracy to retrace her steps to freedom in Christ.

Erika has known Tracy since 2000 where they met working at a production company in Dallas.  Tracy was a producer and Erika was a makeup artist.  Erika says "Tracy always had a smile on her face and that positive glass half-full attitude." What Erika didn't know was that Tracy was hiding an awful addiction to alcohol. It was a disease that lurked behind the scenes and Tracy explains in this episode how she thought "it was normal to go to work with a hangover. "

But it all came crashing down one New Year's Eve. As everyone around her was making their plans for the big night, Tracy had a miraculous encounter with God that saved her life!

Erika leads Tracy in unpacking her heart-breaking story of reaching rock bottom. Her transformation began the moment she heard an audible voice from heaven. Listeners will learn what happened next and how the support she received from Alcoholics Anonymous and other family/friends eventually brought her to physical sobriety and spiritual health.

Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson invites her adult daughter Erika Laine as well as her daughter's former youth pastor Kevin Batista back on the show.

This podcast is a very personal look inside Erika and her daughter Erika Laine's lives through the ups and downs of some tough years after divorce rocked their family. They share how the power of God's love and faithfulness were the pillars that stabilized and galvanized their relationship.

One of Erika's favorite quotes one of her former pastor's still rings true in her heart: "God is preparing you for what He has prepared for you!" During this podcast (which Kevin basically hijacked), they unpacked the truths and stories that brought them to maturity in Christ.

Erika does not advocate that single parents need approval of their own parenting skills from someone outside the family. However, as she reflected on their podcast conversation she admits that "it was so humbling to be validated all these years later from Kevin, that he believed I did a good job and made the best decisions I could for my daughter. "

Kevin prods host Erika to share the deets on how she launched her women's retreat ministry (Amazing Grace Retreats) and they also dive into how Erika Laine serves her mother and honors her as the lead minister during these weekend getaways for women.

"It's nothing short of a miracle to know that your children love God and walk in faith," Erika says in the episode. "And now to have her come along side me to lead these retreats is just the best thing in the world!"

Kevin was Erika Laine's youth pastor for several years at Fellowship Church under the leadership of Ed Young, Jr. He currently serves on the pastoral staff at First Baptist Church Dallas under Robert Jeffress.

As their conversation unfolded, Kevin "hijacked" the podcast and started firing questions to both Erikas! The content was so good Erika decided to turn this recording into two episodes. Here in part 1, Kevin discloses a simple secret to ensure God's favor and blessing in life which is to "be at the right place at the right time with the right people doing the right thing."

Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson invites her good friend and occasional co-host Robin Raetzman back into the studio. They discuss Erika's journey from being a strong believer in Jesus Christ, to walking into her destiny and true calling on her life.  Moving back to Texas after finding peace and serenity living in the Black Hills of South Dakota wasn't easy, but it was a choice that was necessary. 

Their conversation unpacks how a working trip back to South Dakota led to Erika discovering a little book called The Prayer of Jabez that would change her life forever. Praying this simple prayer was one of the catalysts that launched Erika into several new avenues of ministry. Among them: the Amazing Grace Retreats, a book ministry, and a raindrop tech ministry.

Erika also walks Robin through how God also whispered something to her that was the ultimate challenge. She felt the nudge from heaven to allow a revolutionary career change after 25 years in one industry...from make-up artist to full-time ministry.

Host Erika Seamayer-Williamson invites life-long best friend Shelley Goad to the Amazing Grace Talk Podcast. They dish on all things concerning crippling addictions and how desperation played a key role her deliverance.

In this podcast, you'll learn why people don't stop their addiction "until they have to." Erika and Shelley discuss the  critical moment when an addict reaches rock bottom.
