This episode explains the stages of treatment in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and their corresponding targets, theoretically and practically. The first stage, behavioral stabilization, and the second stage, work with trauma-related symptoms, are explored in the most detail. The model is not linear but circular, so a client could return to a previous stage at a certain point of treatment. Faculty: Stephanie Vaughn, Psy.D. Host: Jessica Díaz, M.D. Script Editor: Anderson García, Ph.D.
