Amy Doherty’s Biography

Amy Doherty is the Chief Information Officer of AARP, Inc. a membership organization for people age 50 and over that operates as a non-profit advocate for its members and is one of the most powerful lobbying groups in the United States. Amy started with AARP in 2011, originally as Vice President of Customer Service & Solution Delivery, before rising to interim CIO and eventually gaining the position on a permanent basis.

Prior to AARP, Amy held multiple technology roles at Freddie Mac, C&F Bank, American Financial Realty Trust, and GMAC, among others.

Amy received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental and Nuclear Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, and her MBA from Penn State University.
