In the not-so-sleepy town of Elizabeth City, NC in the early hours of the morning on Aug. 2nd, 2018, antique shop owner Milton Sawyer was murdered in his home.

While authorities first thought this was a robbery/home invasion gone horribly wrong and that his poor wife, Angel Sawyer, was simply the devastated widow in this tragic tale, we’re breaking down her real role in the Milton Sawyer murder, and just to keep ya guessing, we’ll give you a few hints: affair, murder, physical therapist, youth pastor, and betrayal.
