We received an email from a listener of the show which goes as follows:

"Hello, Anele and the Club...

My name is Ebenezer Tumelo in Mogale City. I'm a delivery driver and at this present moment, it's only my source of income. I was in an unfortunate incident where I

hit a pothole with my car (Nissan Almera) in Krugersdorp and at that moment I had

a tyre burst which made me swerve towards the pedestrian side of the road and I hit

some round stones but I managed to stop the car.

In the process, I damaged the left arm control of the wheel, which grounded my car.

Even if I changed the tyre the car won't move. The last money I had, I had to use to

get a tow truck to tow me home in Munsieville outside Krugersdorp.

So I’m humbly asking to be assisted by you and the team in finding a mechanic

sponsor to sort me out urgently (The cost of each arm control is almost R1,200 each

side = R2,400). If I don't come to work, I don't get paid, and the car is stationary and I

only have R300 remaining on me. As I haven’t been working there is also petrol

money that I need.

According to a survey, about 38% of people in Joburg lie to their doctors about their drinking habits... #AneleAndTheClub asked who else do you lie about your drinking habits?

The magazine offers these tips for developing friendships in the office so you

don't get burned:

Take it slow -- Choose your friends at work carefully, and no matter how well you

get along at first, let the friendship develop at its own pace. Don't rush things. Don't

share secrets too soon.

Be strategic about what you reveal -- While many of us solve our personal problems by discussing them with others, don't do this at work. Gripe too much about all

the stress in your life, and the boss may think you're not able to handle your job.

Know your territory -- Every office has a personality. It may be happy and open. It

could be quiet and private. If it's the latter, do your best to keep your personal life

quiet and private as well. And even if it's a happy and open place, it is never appropriate to gossip about other employees' lives.

Learn how to handle conflict -- When problems arise between you and another employee, do address them immediately, but do it in a non-confrontational way using

specific examples.

Accept an expiration date -- This is the sad reality: Office friendships expire. When

one or both people move on to new employment, the friendship is likely to last two

years at the most.
