It's not what you think.
In this episode of Crazy Sexy Anxiety, we are talking with social media personality, Andrea Rappaport, on the importance of being transparent about mental health struggles on social media.
Andrea Rappaport is a recovering comedian and brings laughs and insight on her Instagram and on her own podcast, How Not to Suck at Divorce. She is also candid about her struggle with anxiety and panic disorder
Nothing makes us feel worse about our own lives when we see someone's "highlight reel" on their social media page. NOBODY is living a perfect life and it's time we're being more REAL 'bout that!
Here are Andrea's three tips on how you can be part of the solution and not part of the problem:
1- Stop posting pictures of your perfect vacation- nobody cares
2- "If you see something, say something"- Reach out to someone personally if they post about a struggle they're currently having. It costs nothing and takes maybe 30 seconds to send a private message
3-Give context behind posts that talk about how #blessed or #grateful you are.
