On Anything but Footy this week, Michael has strong opinions on the possibility of a 12 year old skateboarder competing at the Olympics for Team GB. He tells the team around Sky Brown to go and speak with Tom Daley about how to handle success at such a young age. At the other end of the age scale, should a 46 year old double Olympic Champion -James Cracknell - be able to compete in the Boat Race.
There's news and opinion from the World Para-Cycling Championship. It was phenomenally successful for British Cycling but where was the coverage and why hasn't Jody Cundy been knighted in the same way Sarah Storey has been made a Dame.
Staying with cycling, we debate the ins and outs of Jess Varnish's campaign to have her time with British Cycling recognised as employment and speculate on the future of funding in sport if she does eventually win her case.
Also, includes updates from the British Gymnastics Championship in Liverpool and International Swimming in Edinburgh with Max Whitlock and Adam Peaty discussed as well as more good news for UK Sport and British Canoeing this week.

Another week of debate and discussion about the big issues in the world of Olympic & Paralympic sport. Following Mo Farah's victory in The Big Half, we ask when is retirement not really retirement and could Farah be set to win another Olympic gold medal in 2020.
We discuss Adam Peaty's role in leading the new London-based franchise of the International Swimming League and why top sportsmen and women are increasingly having to take on additional roles and responsibilities to promote their sport. This has also been in focus this week with the news of Callum Skinner and Jon Schofield's retirements from elite sport with British Cycling and British Canoeing respectively.
There's chat about race walking and why the IAAF want to change the established distances and why Great Britain's leading race walker Tom Bosworth is not happy, plus diving, triathlon, cycling, karate and Adelaide potentially bidding for the Commonwealth Games all get a mention too.

An interesting week as British Athletics enjoys European Indoor Championship success, whilst British Cycling has an indifferent World Track Championships. We put both performances in context with just over 500 days to the Tokyo Olympics. Laura Muir has won two gold medals in Glasgow on the track where she trains as British Athletics enjoyed their most successful European Indoor Championships ever. For the nation's cyclists, Elinor Barker won the only gold medal for GB in Poland.
There's also news and views on Tom Daley's return to competition and fond farewells to boxer James Degale, swimmer Jazz Carlin and bobsleigh medallist John Jackson - all who have announced their retirement this week. Michael has strong words for the cheats who he believes have done a long term injustice to the British Bobsleigh programme following Sochi 2014, whilst John hails Roger Federer as simply 'the greatest'.
All part of our comprehensive round up of results and comment from the world's of Olympic and Paralympic Sport.

British Athletics and British Cycling name their squads for the Euro Indoors in Glasgow and the Track Cycling World Championships in Poland - why Michael knew how many medals Team GB would win in the Velodrome before it happened in Rio - and how John had to run in the rain to watch two men with swords!
