In this episode we talk about how can we improve education, what makes it better, what have we learned, and what the future holds for schools. My guest, Maryanne Cullinan is a middle school educator in Antrim, NH and the Sanford Teaching Award winner for New Hampshire in 2018. She got her Masters Degree at Brandeis University in Teacher Leadership. She spends her time thinking about effective systems and logistics, teaching kids communication skills, building relationships and playing games with middle-schoolers. Professionally, Maryanne is interested in trauma informed practices, project based learning, role-playing games as learning and gamification in education. Check out her panel about gamification at PAXEast this year! In her free time, Maryanne is a mom of three, writes plays, snuggles her house bunnies and enjoys naps.
