This program will cover a biopsychosocial approach to chronic back pain. The first presenter will discuss multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary treatment approaches to chronic low back pain. She will then discuss some of the common medications used for treatment. The next presenter will discuss the role of psychology/psychotherapy in treatment for chronic low back pain, with a particular emphasis on how psychology providers work with others in an interdisciplinary treatment team. Finally, the last presenter will discuss various strategies for treating patients with chronic low back pain to improve their overall function, coping, mobility, and quality of life.
