(9/19/23) The market is beginning to price-in what they expect to happen, essentially holding flatly against a consolidation line. Markets are close to being over-sold and close to triggering a short-term sell-signal. That could reverse, should the market rally. A dovish Fed meeting outcome could be that spark. Markets are now setting up for that seasonably strong period of the year, but not quite there, yet, with confidence settling and sentiment returning. There certainly is room for markets to break to the downside; volatility has been very suppressed.
