  • Actor James Paxton And His Brilliantly Funny Western Movie Last Train To Fortune
Our tale follows the loquacious CECIL PEACHTREE (Malcolm McDowell) stuffy, well educated, English schoolteacher who's only lived his life's experiences through the books he so passionately loves, and DOOLEY(James Paxton) an illiterate outlaw who's lived a reckless and dangerous life of actual adventure. We open on CECIL standing on a dusty and desolate train platform. He's been traveling across the Old West on his way to the tiny, frontier town of Fortune, where he'll begin a new job, and a new chapter of his life, as headmaster of the local schoolhouse. But when he learns he has missed the last train, CECIL is left stranded in the middle of nowhere, not knowing what to do next.To make matters worse, CECIL is held up by DOOLEY, a fearsome gunslinger. After being robbed of all of his cash and personal possessions, CECIL harkens back to the age old adage made famous by Hippocrates, "Desperate times call for desperate measures". With no other options available to him, CECIL goes against his better judgment and proposes a deal; If DOOLEY agrees to escort him to Fortune, he can have CECIL'S entire teacher's stipend, a month's pay, which is awaiting him upon his arrival. Cash strapped, and desperate himself, DOOLEY reluctantly agrees. What unfolds is an arduous yet heartfelt journey, where our mismatched travelers form an uncommon bond. Along the way, they encounter ferocious bandits, harrowing horse chases, barroom brawls and bawdy saloon gals.At a time when books are being banned across the country and education itself is under attack, LAST TRAIN TO FORTUNE is an allegory about how knowledge sets us free, a theme that couldn't be more relevant than it is right now.  Also starring Mary Steenburgen and Bernadette Peters.Heres the trailer:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qVU3wln7PI

  • ER The Oral History From Television And Hollywood Historian Lynette Rice
Before The Pitt or Grey's Anatomy there was ER, the hit 15-season drama that paved the way for the media drama phenomenon. In ER: The Oral History (pub date: Sept 15) NY Times bestselling author Lynette Rice deep dives into the making of the show. The book draws on archival interviews and new conversations with over 60 people including John Wells and Noah Wyle (showrunner and star of the original ER, respectively, and executive producers of HBO's The Pitt), Eriq LaSalle, Laura Innes, Ming-Na Wen, Paul McCrane, Rick Rossovich, and Goran Visnjic.Lynette Rice is the New York Times bestselling author of How to Save a Life: The Inside Story of Grey's Anatomy, and covered ER while working at Entertainment Weekly and The Hollywood Reporter A new Kirkus review raves ER is "an entertaining history of an iconic series. Warning: This inside look at a medical show might cause dopamine rushes"MORE ABOUT THE BOOKLong before Jurassic Park was the embryo of an idea in Michael Crichton's mind, there was ER. A medical student who dreamt of a career in Hollywood, Crichton did what any aspiring writer would: he created a script based on time working in a high-octane hospital emergency department. Of course, nobody wanted it. It wasn't until Crichton turned his attention to dinosaurs and his 1990 novel Jurassic Park became a megahit - and a mega-movie franchise - that Steven Spielberg's camp asked the former doctor what other ideas he was kicking around. Producers weren't interested in Crichton's dream to make a hospital film. But, they were looking for new television series programming and thought there might be something even bigger in the concept than a movie. And, thus, ER was born.Despite some resistance from NBC's top brass, the Warner Bros. Television drama became an overnight hit with its high-adrenaline storylines, realistic dialogue, and bona fide (not to mention hot) stars in the making in the cast, including Julianna Margulies, Noah Wyle, Anthony Edwards, and an actor who didn't end up amounting to much named George Clooney. ER premiered opposite the popular CBS drama Chicago Hope and quickly cannibalized its competition. It would, in its heyday, average 35 million viewers per season (in an era before streaming and DVRs), and was either the number one or number two most watched show on television for six years.Over the course of its fifteen years on air ER would feature weddings, births, break-ups, death, and medical conundrums in just about every form you could imagine. Although stars like Clooney and Margulies would come and go, ER introduced (or, in some cases, re-introduced) the world to actors like Maura Tierney, Mekhi Phifer, Linda Cardellini, Ming-Na Wen, and Scott Grimes. It won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series and was nominated a staggering 124 times. As popular as is now, there would be no Grey Sloan Memorial without County General.

  • The Daily Mess The Meaning Of God Moving Through You Plus The Funk vs Depression
I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   What do the preacher people mean when they say to see what God can do moving through you?  Plus…is there a difference between being in a funk versus falling into a depression?   I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…
