  • The Mighty Pines' Neil Salsich From NBC's The Voice
Neil's first memory around music was when his father made a mixtape for him. He listened to it relentlessly to the point of wearing it out, but growing up, Neil never saw music as a career. During high school, he gigged in coffee shops around St. Louis for fun when he wasn't playing sports or in class. In college, he majored in English with a minor in music and ended up failing his minor. Thankfully, he didn't let that stop him from pursuing something about which he was passionate. In 2014, Neil quit his day job to pursue music full-time with his band, the Mighty Pines, and is still with his band today. Now, he wants to use "The Voice" to see if he can make it as a solo artist.

  • Rachel Christine From NBC's The Voice
Rachel grew up in a very musical family. Her grandma had eight kids who were all musical, and almost all the kids were in the family band, Mad Fact. When she got to high school, Rachel became the lead singer of the school's rock pep band, Orange Crush. Currently, Rachel works as a bartender where she serves up drinks, does social media marketing and sings about once a month as part of the Gebel Girls, a duo she formed with her sister. While Rachel loves the Wisconsin bar scene, her audition would be the first time in a long time that she's sung outside of it and without her sister.

  • Ben Bowdin and Alex French From The Podcast Let's Start A Coup
What would you do if a secret cabal of the nation's most powerful people asked you to overthrow the President? Weirdly enough - it's not a hypothetical. It almost happened to FDR in the 1930s, were it not for a very intense, very problematic Marine named Major General Smedley Butler.
Join Ben Bowlin, Alex French, and a cast of historical characters brought to life by Joe Kinosian for a darkly comedic - and terrifying - retelling of one of the weirdest forgotten schemes in American history.

  • Stephan Talty Releases The Book Koresh The True Story Of David Koresh
KORESH: The True Story of David Koresh and the Tragedy at Waco is the first comprehensive account of David Koresh's life, his road to Waco, and the rise of government mistrust in America, from a master of narrative nonfiction. This spring marks the 30th anniversary of the siege at Waco. Stephan Talty's previous work includes The Black Hand, Agent Garbo, Empire of Blue Water and A Captain's Duty (the basis for the Academy Award-winning film Captain Phillips). Now, with his signature immersive storytelling, Talty pulls back the curtain on David Koresh-the man behind the myths, rumors, and conjecture that have shaped our understanding of the Branch Davidians. No other event in the last fifty years is shrouded in myth like the 1993 siege of the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas. Today, we remember this moment for the 76 people, including 20 children, who died in the fire; for its inspiration of the Oklahoma City bombing; and for the wave of anti-government militarism that followed. What we understand far less is what motivated the Davidians' enigmatic leader, David Koresh.

  • Ryley Tate Wilson From NBC's The Voice
Hometown & resident of Montgomery, AL From an early age, Ryley Tate turned anything and everything into a drum set, and, by age 4, he graduated to a real drum set. From there, he moved on to keyboard and guitar. He never wanted to be away from his music, so his mom drew him a keyboard on cardboard, so he could practice on the go: at church, in the car, and at restaurants. When Ryley Tate decided he wanted to make his own music, he saved up his money for recording software and learned the production side of things. His plan is to start gigging around town when he gets his driver's license. Ryley Tate spends most of his time being heavily involved in local theater, always participating in musicals or singing for his church youth group.
