  • D Smooth From NBC's The Voice
D.Smooth was about to take the stage at the Season 21 Blind Auditions when the teams filled up. Looking back, he's grateful he didn't get a chance to perform at a time when he wasn't giving 100% to music. D.Smooth grew up in the rural countryside of Birmingham, Alabama and his entire extended family all lived on the same street. He feels blessed that his family was close by to keep him grounded. In high school, D.Smooth was a singer in the jazz band, but even though he loved music, his main focus was sports. He played football, baseball, and basketball. He would often sing the national anthem and then run to the field to play a game. Now that he's back at The Voice, he's ready to give music his all.

  • Steven Raichlen Releases The Book The Barbecue Bible
Steven Raichlen is synonymous with barbecue. The James Beard Award-winning author of an impressive array of New York Times bestselling cookbooks, a Barbecue Hall of Famer, indefatigable barbecue anthropologist and a PBS star, he has shaped America’s obsession with live-fire cooking for decades. It started in 1998, when Workman published Raichlen’s groundbreaking THE BARBECUE! BIBLE, which fired a grilling revolution around the world, transforming the arts of smoking and grilling to the cult status it enjoys today. When this 500-recipe homage to global live-fire cooking was first published, American grilling was limited to simple summer weekend cookouts with little technique or creative thought. And now, it’s hard to believe that there was ever a time when grilling and barbecue weren’t ubiquitous American obsessions. 25 years later; 1 million copies in print; and countless accolades, including the IACP/Julia Child Cookbook Award, The Barbecue! Bible is a generational book, and Steven Raichlen is one of the most influential and celebrated barbecue pioneers of our time.

  • Bob Cowsill From The Cowsills New Album And Tour
Back in the 1960's, four brothers who wanted to be The Beatles formed a band called The Cowsills. The original Cowsills consisted of Bill on guitar, Bob on guitar and organ, Barry on bass and John on drums. Early gigs were at school dances and churches around their home in Newport, RI. Eventually, as their harmonic sound was perfected, they got a regular gig on Bannisters Wharf in Newport where they would sing Beatle songs hour after hour. Early recordings were released by the four brothers on Joda and Mercury Records. Barbara ("mini-mom") joined the group to record The Rain, The Park and Other Things and shortly thereafter 7 year old Susan and brother, Paul, were added to the group. They were signed by MGM records and the group began its climb to the top!

  • Kylee Dayne From NBC's The Voice
Kylee has dreamed of being a pediatric surgeon ever since she was a young girl. In high school, she became a registered medical assistant after entering a program provided by her school. Once she got to college, Kylee put music to the side to focus on her studies. She was taking 18 hours worth of science classes during her first year and didn't think she had the time for any music lessons. She eventually hit a wall and started to pick up songwriting as a distraction. After her freshman year, Kylee decided to take a gap year from school to focus on music and give it all she has. She knows that med school is going to take up 12 years of her life, so it's now or never to pursue her musical dreams. For her performance, Blake used his big foam finger.

  • Kyle Allen Frm The Moive Space Oddity
Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired North American rights to Kyra Sedgwick's feature SPACE ODDITY. The film, which had its World Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival, stars Kyle Allen (West Side Story) and Alexandra Shipp (tick, tick. BOOM!) alongside Madeline Brewer ("The Handmaid's Tale"), Carrie Preston ("The Good Fight"), Simon Helberg (Annette) and Kevin Bacon ("City on a Hill"). The film will be released in theaters and digital on March 31, 2023. Planets and lives collide in this Kyra Sedgwick-directed feature. Alex (Kyle Allen) longs to travel to outer space and finally gets the opportunity to do so thanks to a privately-funded Mars colonization program. In the midst of his rigorous preparation, he meets Daisy (Alexandra Shipp), the new girl in town who's trying to start over. The two wayward souls connect in unexpected ways, both of them harboring secrets that they're desperately trying to overcome. However, when questions about the legitimacy of the program and the future of his parents' flower farm begin to crop up, Alex finds himself questioning whether it's easier to confront his past or fly away into the stars. In a time where nihilism about the Earth's future is rampant, it can be difficult to find optimism about what comes next. However, Space Oddity is a heartwarming film that encourages living life to the fullest with those you love the most. "We are thrilled to bring Kyra Sedgwick's feature film to audiences," said Peter Goldwyn, president of Samuel Goldwyn Films.
