The influence the Bronte sisters still have on entertainment today and withstanding the test of time - since the 1800’s!Why she thinks Wuthering Heights is still so relevant today…there have been at least 14 different film and TV versions of Wuthering Heights, most recently in 2022In real life - the Bronte sisters had a brother named Branwell - who was a drug abuser and alcoholic. He had an affair with a married woman called Mrs. Robinson which loosely inspired the film “The Graduate”The publishing world in 1847 is similar to the publishing world today. Many authors today have to publish with hybrid publishers and have to pay some of the upfront publishing costs. Both Emily (when writing “Wuthering Heights”) and Anne (when writing “Agnes Grey”) had to pay as much as a Governess earned in a year to get their books published. While these books have been praised as classical and well-regarded books, a few of them were largely disliked by reviewers, sometime even abhorred - but yet stand the test of time.

I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   What is this thing called a presence?  Not as in presents you receive on your birthday and Christmas but having a presence.  Plus…who and what is controlling you through having a presence?   I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…

Pod Crashing episode 443 with author Joe Lex from the podcast All Bones Considered… Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia is the final resting place for many notable men, including Declaration of Independence signer Thomas McKean, Civil War General George Meade, locomotive magnate Matthias Baldwin, astronomer David Rittenhouse, and Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas, plus many Union generals and even fictional characters like Adrian Balboa. But it is also home to tens of thousands of unique and accomplished women of the past three centuries. One man, Joe Lex, a retired emergency medicine doctor of 45 years, was inspired to learn of the history behind who is buried at this historical cemetery that tells not just Philadelphia’s history, but a history of the nation since its founding in 1836. He penned a book that highlights 52 interesting or accomplished women who are buried there, All Bones Considered: 52 Laurel Hill Women This book is a collection of dozens of amazing stories about unique individuals who are long gone. They are based on several years of research, originally developed for the podcasts All Bones Considered: Laurel Hill Stories and Biographical Bytes from Bala: Laurel Hill West Stories. “I encourage fellow taphophiles who have the time and interest to undertake similar projects with their local historic cemeteries,” says Lex. “Every cemetery is an outdoor people museum, ready to be discovered by new generations.”

Peyton found a fresh start through music when he moved to Gainesville in 2022. After losing touch with his musical passion in his early 20s while working full-time in other jobs, he rediscovered it after visiting his father and falling in love with the town's slow pace, kind people and live music scene. Weekly gigs at Bourbon Brothers quickly earned him loyal fans, including Don and Susan Parr, who encouraged him to audition for "The Voice." Now fronting his band Quiet Fire, Peyton has become a key part of Gainesville's growing music community. He performs regularly and recently launched Sunday Serenades - a weekly artist showcase where local and visiting musicians can join him and his band onstage, learn new things and gain mentorship in live performance. With his family's support and a community behind him, Peyton is ready to take the next big step, sharing his passion and music with the world.

I’m always asking questions.  The fun begins when you start researching for answers. Such as…   If Christians see Jesus as being the one and only perfect one, who do non-believers call their perfect person?  Plus…tithing in church.  Isn’t that pretty much legalized gambling?    I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…
