Arroe Collins: Unplugged & Totally Uncut

Welcome back to the studio.  This is My Day of Play, where you’re taken into the real events and actions of how it happens long before the process of editing or cleaning up.  This is how it really went.  There are movie fans and lovers of Hollywood.  In either case have you ever heard of Nicholas and Joseph Schenek?  Here’s a hint, one of them created the Oscars. Our second conversation is all out Swifty cool.  We’ve heard so much about Taylor Swifts skills as a songwriter but what are they songs about?  We’re talking with Annie Zaleski. And then we’ll wrap things up with Jarod K Anderson who has to be a universal brother of mine.  We both know in our souls how important the forest is to each and every one of our lives. This is My Day of Play.  Completely unedited in the way of meeting the wizard behind the curtain.

However, the Chinese are determined to keep Jack from discovering a backdoor into critical American defense technology enabled by industrial espionage. He’s got to stay one step ahead of a pack of killers, and he’ll get no help from the government—because in the jungle, it’s the shadow state that rules.

Thanks for being part of the conversation I am the Poet In The Forest. A children series I penned out in the 1990s. None of it would be possible if it wasn’t for this forest in South Charlotte, NC. I talk about it so much that I thought maybe it’s time you get to meet all that inspires me. Thanks for being part of the conversation

The second record from Salem’s Childe, Unbound, showcases the band’s growth as songwriters and musicians from 2020’s The Sin That Saves You. From the fast-paced tension of opener “Closer to the Bone” to anthems like “Rise & Conquer” and the closing beefed up and energetic take on The Cult’s classic “She Sells Sanctuary,” the nine-song record takes the listener on a lyrical and melodic journey that maintains the band’s aggressive accessibility while pushing boundaries and inviting engagement.

Since its inception, Salem’s Childe has defined and redefined itself musically, while following one rule: taking the best of what they love from their diverse influences and forging them into something that reflects those influences without trying to sound like them. The result is a hard-hitting and energetic genre-defying mix of melody and aggression that finds itself as equally at home in the mainstream as it does the underground.

In 2020, the band released its debut full-length album, The Sin That Saves You, through Pavement Entertainment, following that up the next spring with a well-received cover of Sponge’s iconic radio anthem “Plowed.” In 2024 the band finished and released its second record, Unbound. From appearances at events such as Milwaukee Metal Fest to storming their way across the US while supporting Misfits legend, Doyle, the Indiana-based band is no stranger to the national stage and will soon be announcing upcoming tours in the fall of 2024 and winter of 2025 in support of the new record.

In our everyday world do wives and girlfriends make up stories about how their man or partner made a bad decision? Plus… How often do spouses feel violated with the other half gets into their personal space? I’m Arroe…  I am a daily writer.  A silent wolf.  I stand on the sidelines and do nothing but watch, listen study then activate.  I call it The Daily Mess.  A chronological walk through an everyday world.  Yes, it’s my morning writing.  As a receiver of thoughts and ideas, we as people tend to throw it to the side and deal with it later.  When a subject arrives, I dig in.  It’s still keeping a journal!  By doing the research the picture becomes clearer.  This is the Daily Mess…
