ArTEEtude is West Cork´s first art, fashion and design podcast created and produced by Detlef Schlich. He will dive and discover with us and Lou McMahon into the unknown and exciting deep ocean of the creative mind. In these three podcast episodes, McMahon and Schlich talk about her childhood and early inspiration in Six Mile Bridge, Co. Clare. They will talk about her online experience as a singer-songwriter and this strange feeling in a Lock-down to sing to an audience without an audience alone just in front of a camera. Eventually, they will speak about Mahon´s aspiration as a media composer and more. At the end of each episode, we will listen to one of Lou McMahon´s songs.
Lou McMahon is a singer-songwriter, media music composer, session vocalist, animal lover and culture reporter from County Clare in Ireland. Lou's songs showcase a multitude of melodic riches in a vibrant package, described in the media as a "jazz trad crossover" Clare People and "Pop oriented" allmusic.com. Lou's haunting voice combined with thought-provoking lyrics and beautiful melodies makes her ''one to watch'' Irish Daily Mail.
Schlich is Visual Artist, Film Maker and Ritual Designer, living and loving in West Cork and best known for his Essay about the Cause and Effect of Shamanism, Art and Digital Culture and the video installation Transodin´s Tragedy. He is mainly working in the field of performance, photography, painting, sound, installations, and film. To research our human condition and create artwork from this reflection he is using often the methodology of the digital-shaman as alter ego.

Paul Cobb is a poet who dedicated his early life to travelling and discovering different cultures. Because of Cobb's very close parental ties to Nigeria, he developed a personal connection with that country. He became the one who travelled to Egypt in his early twenties, among other places, only to find out that the people of Africa are not as wild as the prejudices of Western society preached. Now he's a seaweed activist and seaweed farmer. Here in Europe, the Roaring Water Sea Vegetable Co-op was the first algae farm in Ireland and a pioneer in the field of algae farming. Kelp farms also create an incredible habitat for smaller crustaceans and other creatures that fish like to eat. Sea vegetable propagation techniques have evolved over the past 15 years under the auspices of Bord Iascaigh Mhara. Paul the Poet is one of the visionaries who show us new ways in which we can grow food and make a living that can both heal the planet and make life more satisfying.

Apple Podcast
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/arteetude-west-cork-s-first-art-fashion-design-podcast/id1527081647 ArTEEtude is West Cork´s first art, fashion and design podcast created and produced by Detlef Schlich. He will dive and discover with us and the Hungarian outsider artist Zoe Szilagyi into the unknown and exciting deep ocean of the creative mind. In this podcast, Szilagyi and Schlich talk about Szilagyi´s inspiration for her very first drawings and her decision to become an outsider artist, about her body modifications and the difference between body modifications and trans-humanistic body enhancement and finally about her journey from America back to Europe in a listener-friendly short attention span podcast time.Schlich is Visual Artist, Film Maker and Ritual Designer, living and loving in West Cork and best known for his Essay about the Cause and Effect of Shamanism, Art and Digital Culture and the video installation Transodin´s Tragedy. He is mainly working in the field of performance, photography, painting, sound, installations, and film. To research our human condition and create artwork from this reflection he is using often the methodology of the digital-shaman as alter ego.
Zoe Szilagyi is making art since her very early childhood. She is an autodidact and considers her art as OUTSIDER punk art , dark art or underground art. She was part of the squatter scene in Berlin after the 'Wall" came down. Zoe is living and working in Hungary since 1990 and inspired by the unconditioned expression of life. Her experience with her loving parents brought her to the decision that life for love without judging is her form of life and therefore she devotes her life to the categorical imperative. She lives her life in the same way as she wants to be treated.

Drawing on his practice in performance, photography, painting, sound, installation, film and media archaeology, Detlef treats the podcast not simply as a format, but as an artistic space in its own right — a place for philosophical inquiry, cultural critique, guest conversations, listener questions and poetic speculation.
In a world driven by speed, distraction and surface-level connection, ARTEETUDE slows things down. It looks beneath the noise and asks: What does it mean to create today? How do technology and consciousness transform one another? What happens to spirituality in an increasingly digital culture? And where can the human soul still find resonance?
Whether you are an artist, a thinker, a technologist or simply curious about the mysteries of creativity, ARTEETUDE invites you into a conversation where art, mind, body and machine meet.
