Dr. Widra shares with us some valuable insights into the resources available for patients diagnosed with cancer, the timeline for discussing fertility preservation options, and various options for preserving fertility. He explains that early conversation and sometimes repetitive conversations about what fertility preservation means for the patient's future is vital. Dr. Widra highlights that while ovarian tissue preservation and elective planned oocyte cryopreservation may be options for some women, not everyone is a candidate.
