Sarah is Canada’s Recognition Expert and as my book launch is fast approaching, I wanted to reintroduce you to Sarah and the conversation we had about how recognition helps to create a more authentic leader and provides a better connection to their team.

I had such a wonderful and information-filled chat with Sarah McVanel last week that we decided to turn it into a 2-part series. In case you missed last week, here’s the link to Part I

It’s not mandatory that you listen to it first, but I recommend that you do. There’s so much amazing content, it would be a shame for you to miss out on any of it.

By title, Shelley is the CEO of Dovico!  She spreads a message of compassion, health and love like no other. While her day-to-day work has her doing various operational tasks and making CEO-like decisions, her greatest work comes from ensuring that everyone has a stake in Dovico’s direction.

  • Johnny's Story: Death by Dabbing with Laura Stack
In this episode, Roxanne and Laura Stack discuss the impact of marijuana on teens, exploring topics like dabbing, the misuse of medical marijuana cards, and the effects on the adolescent brain. They also provide parental advice, discuss marijuana legalization, and highlight the importance of early intervention and open conversations.

    https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/stopdabbing

Quote: "Look at the new marijuana, just go and Google marijuana dabs and look at the products! It's completely chemical, highly potent, very addicting." Laura Stack

Marijuana has been legalized in several parts of the world, and much of the negative stigma has disappeared. We see doctors prescribing it for the medical benefits of pain control in place of opiates and NSAIDs, managing nausea, giving relief from tremors and many other medical issues. On this episode of Authentic Living with Roxanne, we are talking with Laura Stack, who suffered the loss of her son Johnny to suicide, which has been attributed to his use of highly potent THC distillates.

Laura was best known in the business world for her professional moniker, The Productivity Pro. Her 30-year career as a keynote speaker, bestselling author of eight productivity books, and corporate spokesperson came to a screeching halt on November 20, 2019, when her 19-year-old son, Johnny, died by suicide after becoming psychotic from dabbing high-THC marijuana concentrates. Laura responded by forming the non-profit, Johnny's Ambassadors to educate parents and teens about the dangers of today's high-THC marijuana on adolescent brain development, mental illness, and suicide.

    Authentic Touch Points:

    What is dabbing? 2:30

    It's not your parent's pot. 5:30

    Education is key. 16:30
    Start the conversation early. 20:00

Laura's platform now brings education, awareness, and prevention curriculum to parents, drug prevention conferences, community groups, and schools to stop youth marijuana use. She is a powerful speaker who brings Johnny's personal warning and solid research together in her new book, The Dangerous Truth About Today's Marijuana: Johnny Stack's Life and Death Story. Described as a force of nature with unstoppable drive and unwavering purpose, Laura is determined to get teens to #StopDabbing.

  • Setting Boundaries with Cheryl-Ann Lovie
In this episode, Roxanne is joined by Cheryl-Anne Lovie who shares her life-changing health scare and the impact of her upbringing on her life. They discuss Cheryl-Anne's self-learning journey, the importance of journaling, and how to silence self-doubt. They end with a preview of Cheryl-Anne's upcoming book, "It's Your Turn".

Quote: “The only way to discover how to get somewhere is to figure out where the heck you’re going. Then start building your roadmap.” Cheryl-Ann Lovie

Overwhelm is defined as “too much, or almost too much, for one to manage”. I think that many of us are currently living in a state of overwhelm and need to make some significant changes to feel better. On this episode of Authentic Living with Roxanne, we welcome change expert Cheryl-Ann Lovie to share her journey and some great ideas to help us start on a new path to setting boundaries and creating real change for the better.

Cheryl-Ann Lovie is an entrepreneur at heart. She embodies the attributes of that title at work as well as in her everyday life – she gets s*&t done, anytime, anywhere, in any way possible. She’s known to ‘tell it like it is’ without sugar-coating anything. Cheryl-Ann is the voice of a generation of women who are driven by the “have to’s”.

  • Transformational Leadership (Part II) with BlackWolf Consultants
In this episode, Roxanne Derhodge engages with Robert and Gabriel Krenza in a discussion on transformational leadership. They dig into a unique team-building exercise, provide an overview of Blackwolf Consultants Inc., and discuss their 12-month virtual CTLA process. The conversation also covers the impact of the "great resignation" on organizations, decision-making, return on investment, and the power of choice. Roxanne introduces her new book "ROR: Return on Relationship".

Robert Quote: “You can’t inspire and motivate others unless you are inspired and motivated.” Robert Krenza

Gabriel Quote: “I think one of the most heartbreaking dichotomies in corporate culture is that you have to be two separate people.” Gabriel Krenza

The past 2 years have been challenging for everyone, there’s no doubt about it. Leaders everywhere have had a rough road navigating the continuous changes made by our respective governments and the constant demand to keep both their team and superiors happy. On this episode of Authentic Living with Roxanne, we welcome Robert and Gabriel Krenza from BlackWolf Consultants, to discuss Transformational Leadership and share ideas for making transactional changes.

Robert Krenza founded BlackWolf Consultants to offer leaders guidance on a new journey where they can learn how to transform their lives and attain their goals. Robert gathers facilitators and coaches who act as guards and teachers – sometimes strongly, sometimes gently – but always with heart and meaning. He brings the qualities of courage, perseverance, passion, challenge, compassion, community, contribution, loyalty, and integrity, to his work. He listens to deeply understand the essence of all that is and the unrealized potential in a person, a team, or an organization.

Gabriel Krenza is a graduate of Presido Graduate School with an MBA in Sustainable Leadership and Analytics and is a Senior Consultant with BlackWolf focusing on Responsible Leadership through several methodologies including Wilderness Immersions to reconnect leaders with their environmental and social ethos in their roles in global organizations. As the Founder of BlackWolf Expeditions, Gabriel’s work in both the fields of sustainability strategy and organizational development are inspired by embracing the concept that our lives are intrinsically interconnected with all other lives on this planet.

I had such a wonderful and information-filled chat with Robert & Gabriel last week that we decided to turn it into a 2-part series. In case you missed last week, here’s the link to Part I It’s not mandatory that you listen to it first, but I recommend that you do. There’s so much amazing content; it would be a shame for you to miss out on any of it.
