The next morning, the priest became angry on seeing him there and threw water from the worship vessel onto his face to wake him up. Many people used to come to listen to the teachings of Gautama Buddha. Every day, they would speak about their problems and sorrows. One day, a disciple wondered whether there was even a single happy and content person in the city. When he shared this thought with Buddha, Buddha showed him, through an example, that a simple servant was truly happy. The disciple then understood that real happiness comes from contentment of the mind, not from wealth or possessions.
