Tim and Mike discuss their final preparations for the upcoming bow season. Mike refuses to share his deer jerky recipe. Tim complains that his new Redneck blind still has another 4-5 weeks shipping time before delivery. Mike's son challenges Tim to a rib cooking competition.

As usual, some bowhunting content and a whole lot of BS'ing.

In this episode, Tim and Mike discuss the new products they acquired for the 2021/2022 archery hunting season. Mike purchased some new Nomad apparel and a 3D ground blind. Tim purchased a new Redneck Blind.

Be on the lookout for Mike's new urine product line. It is called Edgin in heat. Hitting store shelves soon.

The chili debate! Do you only eat chili in the colder weather or is it a year round food? Tim says it is an all year round food. We checked in with what the Supreme Court has to say on the topic and as it turns out, Tim is right.

In this episode, we talk about our preferences in bow sights. Single pin and multi pin sights both have their advantages and disadvantages. It basically comes down to personal preference and what environments you are hunting in.

We discuss our food plots and how they are doing. Throw and Grow and Whitetail Institute are the brands we prefer.

Opening Day is getting closer! Are you ready?!

CWD (Chronic Wasting Disease) and the fatal effect on deer, elk and moose. CWD has been detected in 25 states including Illinois. CWD was first observed in the wild in 1981.

CWD in its simplest terms means - a contagious disease that causes brain damage in the animal.

Tim shares his personal story of a CWD infected deer on his property.

Be aware of the signs and symptoms of CWD and know what to look for as we approach this 2021 deer hunting season.

Not too much going on with a bowhunting podcast in the middle of April. Mike brought his Zebco 33 over to Tim's pond and schooled his son on catching fish who was using his high dollar baitcaster.

For the record, Tim still believes in the baitcaster no matter the results on this given day.

Tim had a wacko day and had to vent it out on the podcast. Again, it's not bow season. What else we gonna do?

It's crappie fishing season. A lot of rain has created high muddy waters, which has slowed down the bite.

We have a little fun with Mike's son about the video that surfaced of his first time field dressing a deer.

Mike fishes with a Zebco 33. Not kidding!

Happy Easter!

Tim and Mike talk about what essential accessories and tools are needed to outfit a new bowhunter and get him or her in the woods. We also have a secondary list of items that aren't as crucial for the beginner. After all, bowhunting can be expensive.

It's crappie fishing season. Time to hit the water!

The first 5 listeners to email [email protected] with their shirt size will receive a free Illinois Bowhunter t-shirt.

There is a brand new 3D Archery Complex at Rend Lake. Mike had the opportunity to visit and speak with the designer. The North Marcum Archery Complex is set to have their grand opening in April, 2021. This is a great addition to Southern Illinois. We got to fry up some of Mike's deer bacon and it was very good. A couple of tree stand stories and more.

We are caught in between the deer hunting season and the turkey hunting season. And since we just came out of a cold snap where some of our waters were froze over, we haven't begun to start catching crappie just yet. Therefore, we are doing a lot of general BS in this episode.

We share a couple of humorous hunting stories, our preferred way to cook and eat a turkey and then there is always the cajun bacon.
