We missed two weeks due to the winter storm that hit Southern Illinois. It felt good just to hit record again. We talk a lot of general nonsense including how we like to do a good ole' fish fry. However, we do talk scent control and our favorite trail cameras. Did somebody say fish fry?

In this episode, we discuss our personal experiences with broadheads. Both mechanical and fixed bladed. We both prefer mechanical, but give the pluses and minuses for both. Tim shares his apple bacon wrapped venison tenderloin. illinoisbowhunter.com

The 2020 hunting season has came to a close. We discuss the hunting season in review. It was a weird warm hunting season, but what wasn't weird about 2020? I talk about my hunt with my daughter. It was one of my favorite all time hunts without putting a deer on the ground. The thrill of the hunt also requires a good ethical bow kill. It just simply wasn't there. We also review the Centerpoint Archery Heat 415 crossbow. We have several likes and dislikes, but overall would definitely trust it in a hunting situation. As a bonus, my daughter Alayna joins the show to talk about her hunting encounter. Enjoy! illinoisbowhunter.com

BACON...Is feral hog hunting coming to Illinois? The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will probably tell you no. There are feral hogs in Illinois. IDNR identified a hog population in the Lusk Creek Wilderness Area of the Shawnee National Forest this past spring and went in to eradicate them. Feral Swine does 1.5 billion dollars worth of damage annually across the country and it requires a 70% decrease in their population annually to control them. Did I mention BACON?...

Our first episode was recorded on a bittersweet day. It was a day that the IBH team was suppose to arrive at ATA 2021 (Archery Trade Association). Hosts Tim Jarvis and Mike Edgin give an update on their hunting season. Our weather this season was warmer than normal. We get into deer senses, how their vision differs from ours, their movement patterns and the misconceptions surrounding their movement in the morning and evening. We even use a couple of big words. Don't let it fool you, we are still full of s***.
