  • Episode 30: BYE 2023!

Happy New Years, BWC fam! We're back with a fun new episode

where we recap our holiday break. Libby explores LEGO Discovery Center Boston with Joseph where they have everything from rides to a LEGO 4D Cinema. Liz and Laura break down their NYC trip with their families starting with The Christmas Spectacular at Radio City followed by lunch and The Sugar Factory and then The Sloomoo Institute where they make our own slime. Feeling greatful we talk about what we're bringing into 2024. But before we dive into all that - we got into a random but interesting conversation about boy/girl dynamics, how our children perceive same-sex couples, and breaking the "stigma" of what toys and activities are typically gender labeled. We also discuss the toxicity of not only children and technology, but us parents being addicted! Let's break some bad habits in 2024 and have more "no phone" zones.

  • Episode 28: What to expect in the first year

It's hard to believe that our babies are already ONE! Delilah and Rocco just turned one, so we're reflecting back on this past year by discussing our biggest challenges, what we've learned, our favorite stages, and our best advice for expecting first time moms. We talk about timing of milestones (or lack thereof LOL) and trending things we did and didn't do with our little ones, such as baby lead weaning. We also talk about our experiences on introducing siblings and our different views hospital visits. We give a gentle reminder that all babies are SO different! Do what works best for you and your baby, don't let what you see other babies, or what social media is telling you your baby should be doing, get to your head. You're doing amazing!

  • Episode 27: What we take vs. leave from our parents' parenting styles

Let's start off by saying we had the BEST upbringings and wouldn't change it for the world. However, we're raising children in a completely different time, which calls for some change! Today the three of us share a little insight on our upbringings and what we really valued that we'll carry on with our own. We talk about everything from gentle parenting, disciplining in public, sticking with sports/activities, "empty threats," daycare, and so much more. We learn something new everyday, and have so much respect for all the mamas out there no matter what your style may be!

  • Episode 26: We are never truly alone with Spirit Tiff

Today we discuss the spiritual, physical & emotional sides of grief. If you’re feeling the weight during this holiday season & missing a loved one, our hearts truly go out to you. As @spirittiff says, you are never truly alone. Today we have Tiffany Rice (aka @spirittiff) to help us navigate grief during this holiday season.

Spirit Tiff has an incredible ability to connect with loved ones in spirit. She’s dedicated her life’s work to provide this healing modality of comfort and validation to those going through grief. If you’re interested in reaching out to Tiff, her website is https://www.tiffanyrice.com/

In this episode you’ll hear Liz, Laura and Libby admit to their skeptisms on connecting with the other side, discussion on the stages and “tools” to navigate grief, and how to explain someone’s passing to our children.

Part 2 of this episode starts at minute 31, where Liz sits down with her cousin, Jill Hovanasian, who is the Manager of the MA & NH Alzheimer’s Association helpline program. Liz’s mother in law, Cathy, passed away at the beginning of 2023 due to early onset Alzheimer’s. It’s their first holiday season without her, so the two snuck away during Thanksgiving to have a warm and comforting conversation on Cathy’s legacy, and Jill provides tips & advice for caregivers, friends and loved ones affected by this disease. • Episode 23: Mom bladder problems

This week is a short but sweet episode, starting off with a weekend recap of Libby’s anniversary dinner at Limani in Chestnut Hill. Laura has us all laughing about her story about getting pulled over after peeing her pants driving back from Boston!  And to top it off, she had a full CO2 mask on after visiting Jenny Grande at Meredith Lane Aesthetics for a Moxi laser treatment, a Biopeel and a little BBL around her chin.

  • Episode 21: Ready or Not

Today starts off with a quick venting session amongst us ladies, sharing some stories over the weekend where our husbands pushed us to the edge! Then we dive right into our most requested topic - when we knew we wanted a second (or third), and what the transition was like bringing each new baby home. Liz gives us her overview of what pregnancy and life was like with her first, and the different dynamics between two siblings age differences. Laura tried for a few months with her first but had a huge surprise when she put it on pause for the holidays. Laura's second child was born (almost 2 years later) right when the pandemic hit - surviving covid babies was a different story.  Then last but not least, Libby gets into her journey with the two boys, and opens up on the guilt that all moms feel - when you come home with the new baby and learning how to divide your attention amongst the baby and older sibling(s), and the struggles that come along.
