Welcome to the bad wives club, Stellina! Today we have Stellina Ferri from tweet dreamzz on, sharing all the tips for newborns and toddlers sleep habits and schedules! Stellina is a certified pediatric sleep consultant, a mom to 2.5 year old twin girls and a 1 year old son. She talks about her sleep (or lack thereof) experience, and her positive outlook on NICU babies. As a once sleep deprived mom, as I’m sure you can all imagine with TWINS, she’s passionate about helping newborns, toddlers and young kids get consolidated nights sleep, take predictable naps, transition from the crib to bed (which as you guys will hear, Libby is desperate to figure out!), and room sharing. We also get into all the sleep props (pacifiers, feed to sleep, etc.) and some truths vs myths on regressions, sound machines, and other things! Whether you’ve experienced sleep struggles before or are a first time mom, this episode is for you! Libby had such great success working with Stellina, and she knows you will too if you’ve been thinking about getting some extra help💜 Now through the end of October, Tweet Dreamzz is giving 10% off to all BWC listeners! Just tell them we sent you after your phone consult!

This episode starts out with a little Jenny B recap, lip flips, an upcoming trip to NYC, and how we 10/10 recommend taking your kids to see the new paw patrol movie. Then we dive deep into today's topic - removing toxicity from your life. One major take away from this episode is that toxicity doesn’t always mean or relate to a person! It can be a bad habit, energy, excuses, negative self talk, etc. We discuss all these different types of toxicity, real life examples we've dealt with, and how we got through them.

Back to reality! We start off with our crazy week of getting back to the chaos of family life. Liz was pleasantly surprised with JJ’s kindergarten teacher, and we hear about him and Kiki’s first weeks back to school. Do kids get clicky at this young of an age? We discuss our opinions and how they're adapting to making new friends. Liz discusses how she helps JJ when he gets frustrated, using "confidence builders". We do a little recap on our best friend Kelly’s wedding and some of our favorite parts of the trip! We love LOVE! Liz answers some of your questions regarding bringing a nanny on vacation, and how that works logistically and financially.

In todays episode we are talking about our anxieties of leaving the kids (or in Liz's case, taking them with her) while we are away in Aruba. JJ and Kiki are heading into their first week of KINDERGARTEN, although Laura is missing Kiki's first day, and JJ is missing his first week...is that bad?! Absolutely not. Then we get into the pressure of sports and activities for kids, and us parents accepting what may or may not be what we wanted for them, and letting them tell us what there true passion and interests are and letting them go with it, despite how we feel. Parenting can be hard...but being that stage mom can be so rewarding!

In this episode Libby opens up with a scary asthma attack Joseph had in the middle of the night. We then go into the excitement for Kelly’s wedding and all of the planning it takes when traveling with the kids. We talk about the type of airport people we are, like how Liz goes straight for the bar, Libby needs her snacks and Laura’s just curious about the mile high club. When we return from our trip, the big kids, JJ and Kiera, start kindergarten! We share our pits and peaks of the summer, and all 3 declared that July was the best month ever. Libby shares how she’s delaying the start of daycare for Rocco, and Laura talks about her appearance on the Rhode Show. We talk about some of our favorite products right now and make up hacks from one of our favorite make up artists.

Let's get into the first Q&A segment with us! Liz starts us out with a hilarious story about a girl from her husband's past and how Liz is the ultimate internet FBI agent. We had SO many great questions sent in, so thank you for submitting! We hit on: at what age do we stop bathing boy & girl children together; how often you should check in on your friends on maternity leave; how the three of us met; advice for our single girlies; how we keep a healthy lifestyle; transitioning to multiples, and what we think is the hardest. Laura vents about the rut she’s currently in with her husband, and how we all get out of those funks. We also get specific on how the three of us set boundaries with each other, and break the silence on the pressure people get when people ask when they’re going to start a family. But wait, who took a pregnancy test?! Who wants more kids, and who’s totally done?!

Today we start off with some fun details on Liz's sister Kelly's bridal shower, and then we get into talking about the self care we’ve been doing lately! We've all been going to H2T in Franklin, MA to see our girl Kelsey, for all things like facials, laser, lip fillers! After that, we get into the topic for the day - the 4th trimester! The one that a lot of moms forget and don’t talk enough about. We talk all about the good and bad that we learned along the way, and share some helpful tips to help you better survive this often forgot about, last trimester. We share our coming home stories and setting boundaries when getting unsolicited parenting advice. We discuss knowing our bodies, when we should start working out post delivery; when that it’s okay to say no to a social invitation or family holiday. At the end of the day, mom knows best, and that first girls night out really does heal the soul!

So we know you've heard one of Laura's birth stories, but today we get into all the details of Liz & Libby's (and also Laura's!) birth stories. Liz tells us the story about how her water broke & her experience with delivering her first son, JJ. Libby compares her experiences of having both a vaginal (with a little help from a vacuum) and a c-section. Laura thought she had food poisoning but really it’s just her body getting ready for delivery. The three of us all had such different experiences and we share them with you so that you can prepare yourself for one of the best days of your life. We talk about the hospital bag must haves, the pump, the beginning stages of breastfeeding and the ever so lovely lactation consultants.
