In this episode, I will talk about essentialism and figuring out what to do. As mothers, there are days that we're too busy, with our chores, kids, and our job comes very often. When we have one of these days, sometimes we spread our efforts too thin that some of the tasks are left unfinished or not correctly done. If you experience this often, don't worry. You're not alone, and it's totally fine if some chores were left unfinished. We just need to learn how to prioritize and choose essential tasks and start from there.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss for a discussion on essentialism and what you should be doing to maximize your productivity.
Key points:
Being busy and productive are different things. Some tasks keep you busy, and some tasks get you what you want in your life. We just need to know which tasks need to be prioritized.
When we put a lot of energy and exertion into whatever is the most pressing thing at the moment, there's an increased chance that we burned out.
Prioritizing and targeting where we exert our efforts will help you get essentials done and get the results we want.

In this episode, I will talk about productivity guilt and the fear of not being enough. Productivity guilt is basically the feeling of guilt caused by thinking that you should be doing more or feel that no matter how much you put in your day, there's always something that you could have accomplished.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss for a discussion on productivity guilt and what we can do to take control over it.
Key points:
Your productivity guilt does not define your worth or value. Don't let it make you feel that your effort isn't enough.
Productivity guilt is mostly thoughts and beliefs that haven't been questioned. You have the power to decide what your expectations for your life are.
Don't beat yourself up if mistakes happen or if you fall short of expectation. Allow yourself to make mistakes or fall short on expectations. What's important is your presence and your intentions.

In this episode, I will talk about brain hacks that we can do for new habits. Since it's the time of the year that we make plans to be better or build routines, I will share practical mindsets on how to be on track in creating your desired habits or routines.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss as I share insights and tips from experience in how we can hack our brains in developing new habits.
Key Points:
Habits are the sum of what we do in a day. Habits can make things easier for us or hold us back.
A habit becomes a habit because we repeatedly do it 'till it becomes embedded in our brain and becomes second nature.
The trick to creating new habits is habit stacking. It's the method of pairing an old habit with a new one; this basically 'tricks' your brain into automating the new habit since you are pretty much doing the old one in autopilot.

First of all, I would like to greet everyone a happy new year! We made it to 2021. May we start the new year filled with hope, love, happiness, and the resolution to grow and improve.
So back to our program. In this episode, I will talk about our tendencies to sabotage the goals or changes we want to achieve and balancing everything so we have constant movement towards fulfilling them.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss for an insightful discussion on our tendencies to self-sabotage our future and what we can do to steadily move towards the goals that we set to accomplish.
Key points.
We tend to build ‘walls’ that stop us from moving forward due to our unconscious belief that we have about ourselves or circumstances where we base our future capabilities on our past shortcomings or failures.
Sometimes it isn't just the unconscious comparison to our past self that stops us; it's also us holding on to it.
Your past failures and shortcomings are not indications or evidence that you can't achieve what you set out to do in the future.

In this episode, I will talk about achieving your goals and having fun while attaining them. It has been our tradition to set out goals and resolutions at the beginning of each year. Let's be honest; most of these goals and changes we strictly follow for a few weeks or months at the beginning of the year. Most of the time, we lose focus, forget, or give up on them as we slowly and sometimes unconsciously return to what's familiar and comfortable to us.
When setting roadmaps to our goals and the changes we want to attain, we have to be mentally in the right place. If we are in a positive state mentally and spiritually, our desire to better ourselves will come through naturally and make the journey enjoyable.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss as we talk about achieving goals and enjoying the journey of pursuing them.
Key points:
Most goals or resolutions are born from a place of lack, dissatisfaction, negative feelings, and thoughts from yourself and your life.
When we feel good and love ourselves, changes and goals that we set are easier and more enjoyable to attain.
Any feeling you want is available to you now, and you can achieve goals and change and love where you are already.

In this episode, I will talk about what to do with difficult people in our lives. It's not really what we're looking for during these times. The fact that the holidays this year is a bit different because of the lockdowns, the distancing, and cancellation of events, it's fair to say that difficult people make our lives more difficult. So what are we to do if we have to deal with difficult people every day? What if I tell you that difficult people don’t make our lives difficult? What's happening a lot of the time is we unconsciously or consciously believe that people directly cause our feelings. We automatically tag them as someone or something difficult. So if we feel negative things and think that this person or situation is the cause, we automatically go to this place where we need and want them to change. Often, our state has a lot to do with these difficult situations. We wouldn’t consider most of them as difficult when we have a good state of mind and full of energy. We only flag them as difficult when we don’t have the energy to deal with them appropriately.
Join me in this episode of the Balanced and Free Mom Boss as we talk about dealing with difficult people or situations and take them head-on from a different perspective.
Key points:
When we’re in a good place mentally and physically, we’ll minimize the ‘difficult’ people or situations in our lives.
Our energy level directly relates to these difficult moments. The more energy we have in dealing with things, the less we’ll encounter these ‘difficult’ moments.
We don’t need to change the things around us that we think we need to change. Sometimes the change we need is internal to allow us to roll with the punches.

In this episode, I will talk about doing what you've planned to do, even when you don't want to. We've all been in situations where we prepared for something, a chore, or a project, and we're unable to find the energy to follow through. Sometimes finding the strength to get things started is the hard part. It's all about mindset. Which segues perfectly to what I'm about to present to you guys: honoring ourselves, the fourth pillar in the five pillars of balance. Honoring yourself will give you the confidence and belief in following through with your plans and bring you balance.
Key Points:
Setting your priorities and knowing what's important will give you peace and clarity, making following through with your plans easier.
After establishing the confidence and the momentum to keep going, things will fall in their places.
Most of the time, the reason why we're unable to follow through is fear and doubt.
To overcome the hump, we have to present and honor the plans and commitment we've set for ourselves.

In this episode, I will talk about the third of five pillars of the foundation of balance: Emotional Adulthood. Full disclaimer: Some might be resistant to this topic; I recommend keeping an open mind. Approaching the topic with an open mind might be the thing that can make a significant shift in your life. Now, back to the subject. Emotional adulthood is similar to emotional maturity or emotional intelligence kind-of. It addresses a specific part of emotional maturity that doesn't normally get addressed. It's the part where we legitimately take full responsibility for our emotions and use that responsibility to serve our highest thoughts and desires.
Join me in this episode of Balanced and Free Mom Boss as we dive into the subject of emotional adulthood and learn ways to control our emotions better to attain the balance and clarity we need.
Key points:
Emotional adulthood is outgrowing the default immature emotional bubble and taking full responsibility for all our feelings, no matter what someone else does or doesn't do.
When you're in an emotionally adult space, you will be more empowered to be the person you want to be and be in control of your life and its direction.
Taking responsibility for how you feel, making choices on what you want to feel, and not blaming others or other things is an indication that you're an emotional adult.
Our thinking is what creates emotional maturity or immaturity. It is where all the power and responsibility lie for our personal experiences and create what we truly want.
