  • The grief of expectancy: the pros and cons of visualisation

    Send us a text

I am a huge believer in visualisation & manifesting.

But today I am going to talk about what the con of visualisation and how when not done properly, and done with the spice of reality we can get caught out thinking everything will go a certain way because we visualised and manifested it that way.

The truth is all good plans don't go to plan... so how can we avoid falling into a pit of devastation and potentially spiraling when what we've been visualising and working towards doesn't turn out how we wanted OR life gets in the way!

  • 2021 What a year

    Send us a text

Today it is all about reflection.... To me there is nothing more important than sitting down at the end of the year and really reflecting on what worked, what didn't, what we are proud of, what we accomplished & setting some real targets and visions for the following year.

This episode was hard for me to record.

2021 was easily the hardest year of my life, I have said numerous times in the past month how there was not one day I felt comfortable this year, and as someone who has struggled with mental health that's a challenging place to be.

But... despite being tough, despite living outside my comfort zone....
2021 was easily one of the most influential and amazing years of my life.

I hope you enjoy this episode

  • Life isn't fair but it is the way it's meant to be

    Send us a text

Have you ever found yourself saying "it just isn't fair..."

Well... the truth is very few times is life fair...

And where did we even decide what fair looks like?

    How do we measure fair?

Sometimes when we say things like "that wasn't fair" we limit ourselves to only what we believed was fair for us, what if we reframe our idea's around "fair"?

  • Comparison really is the thief of joy

    Send us a text

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I see people comparing their ‘hards’ comparing their ‘rock bottoms’ these experiences we go through, and the challenges we face truly are unique for US.

No one ever should make your hard feel like it isn’t valid.

Now I am not saying you should sit in self pitty & just wallow that life is too hard.

Because the truth is, we all have our shit, but it’s our choice if we chose to sit in victim and blame mode, OR if we choose to move through our shit and rebuild from what our true rock bottom is.

  • Grief: the long game

    Send us a text

A year on from the death of my father-in-law I reflect on why it is so challenging.

But why is grief so triggering even a year on?

And how do we work through those feelings that do come up on anniversaries?

Here are my tips on how to do the things to help us move through our grief:

    Journaling

    • Asking friends if you can vent
    • Asking for support from your network
    • Crying it out
    • Eat a cake? (Maybe not the healthiest way!)

But healing and ‘doing the work’ is actually sitting in the pain. We can’t avoid it.

    So my three ‘top tips’

    1. Acknowledge how you feel without judgement
    2. Do what you need to do – with limitations, do what’s helpful not harmful
    3. Curating my life so it is inspiring – we decide what we are consuming remembering you are what you consume.

  • Natashia Telfer: Finding new purpose from adversity.

    Send us a text

Today I am so lucky to have the amazing Natashia Telfer join me.

Up until the age of 18, Natashia believed the purpose of life was ‘the circle of life’. This purpose was lost when she was diagnosed with Cancer. This adversity would be one of many, however it did set Natashia on a life altering course. Days after completing chemotherapy, Natashia enrolled herself in a Healthcare apprenticeship and started her new path within the Healthcare sector.

Natashia went on the spend her early 20’s with professional perspective, however lacked when it came to personal perspective. Today Natashia is married and madly in love, running a 24/7 multimillion-dollar community nursing business, 4 other side hustle businesses, raising 2 IVF babies, just finished further studies, and publishing two books by March 2022 and June 2022.

On the surface, it would seem she has it all, however she is a self-confessed life juggler, frequent ball dropper and a perpetual people pleaser. It wasn’t until 2020, Natashia had an epiphany, and began to realise her self-worth and the endless possibilities when you finally let go of the opinions of others and simply activate the courage to back yourself. This would lead Natashia to view all things with a larger perspective/bigger picture lens and allow her to go on to promote this message with the sole aim of helping others finding their mojo and be a little kinder.
